The Hemsworth Brothers

The Hemsworth name is big in Hollywood thanks to the brothers’ acting skills. Luke, Chris, and Liam Hemsworth are Australian actors who have made a name for themselves in Hollywood.

Luke Hemsworth is the eldest of the three and is remembered for his role in TV series Neighbours. He was born on November 5, 1981. The Hemsworth brothers were born to Leonie (née van Os), an English teacher, and Craig Hemsworth, a social-services counselor.

Christopher Hemsworth is the second born in the family and made his debut in the Australian TV series Home and Away. He was born on 11 August 1983.

Since moving to Hollywood, Chris has featured in blockbuster movies such as Ghostbusters, Snow White and The Huntsman, Men in Black and Red Dawn. His biggest success in his career is his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Liam Hemsworth is the last born in the family. He was born on January 13, 1990. He started his career acting in the soap opera ‘Neighbours’.

He has since moved on to take up bigger roles like starring as Will Blakelee in The Last Song. He has also acted in other box office hits such as  The Hunger Games and Independence Day: Resurgence. Liam’s love life has been in the spotlight since he got together with pop sensation Milley Cyrus in 2009.

Their relationship was rocky, at best. They got married in 2018 only to call it quits and divorce in 2019, ten years after they first got together.

Margot Robbie

Margot Elise Robbie was born on July 2, 1990. She was born to Sarie Kessler, a physiotherapist, and Doug Robbie, a former farm owner in Dalby, Queensland, and grew up in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Her role in ‘Neighbours’ pushed to move to America. She has since starred in blockbusters such as The Wolf of Wall Street, The Legend of Tarzan, Suicide Squad and I, Tonya.

In 2019, she was ranked among the world’s highest-paid actresses and just two years earlier in 2017, the Australian actress and film producer was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine.

Rebel Wilson

Australian actress, writer, and producer Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson was born on 2 March 1980 in Sydney, New South Wales.

Wilson has marked her name as one of the funniest comedians in Hollywood with  Variety naming her one of their “Top Ten Comics to Watch for 2011”.

She has starred in movies such as Struck by Lightning, Pitch Perfect, Isn’t it Romanic and The Hustle.

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Michael Jackman was born on 12 October 1968 in Sydney, Australia to Grace McNeil and Christopher John Jackman, a Cambridge-educated accountant.

The Australian actor, singer, and producer won the hearts of fans worldwide with his performance in X-Men film series as Wolverine. He holds the Guinness World Record for “longest career as a live-action Marvel superhero” because of this role.

While it is the most praised, he is also known for his roles in other movies such as Van Helsing, The Greatest Showman, and The Front Runner. Even in his fifties, he shows no signs of slowing down.

Yvonne Strahovski

Strahovski was born in Werrington Downs, New South Wales, Australia to Piotr and Bożena Strzechowski. She celebrates her birthday on July 30, 1982.

Her parents immigrated from Warsaw, Poland. Her father is an electronics engineer, and her mother is a lab technician. Yvonne realised her passion for acting at a young age and by the age of 12, she was already attending acting school.

Her name is famous in Hollywood for a number of roles in hit shows such as Chuck, Dexter and 24: Live Another Day. 

Most recently, she has been praised and nominated for awards for her electric role as Serena Joy Waterford in the Hulu drama series The Handmaid’s Tale.
