Once upon a time, there was a TV show called ‘The Bachelor’ that had only one mission – to match a boy with a girl so they can live happily ever after. Therefore, no wonder that ‘The Bachelor’ become an instant national sensation. Each season had one goal – to show which girl the Bachelor choose.

But, as it often is in life, and in reality TV as well, things don’t always work out as planned. So, ever wondered what happened to the winners of each season? The Bachelor, Season 1: Alex Michel and Amanda Marsh

The first season kicked off with successful TV produces Alex Michel, who found the love of his life, Amanda Marsh, after seven long weeks of filming. But, after a one-year long relationship, Alex decided to continue dating. Other people, of course.

Nowadays, Alex is Washington based and works for a consulting company. He seems single. And Amanda? She said ‘yes’ to her true love, Jay Caldwell, her childhood friend. She is a nurse living in Kansas happily with her husband and their daughter, Chloe.

The Bachelor, Season 2: Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz

The second season ended with the bang! Aaron popped the question to Helene, making her the first ever participant to receive a marriage proposal in the show. But, five weeks after the season finale aired, the couple broke up.

At this moment Aaron is the executive VP of a Bank in Clinton, his home town. He is married and his daughter’s name is Aven. Helene is a school psychologist, in New Jersey. She is married to a tech consultant since 2013. They are proud parents of Noah.

The Bachelor, Season 3: Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft

Firestone tires had a real representative in this season. The bachelor was Andrew Firestone, a true and rich tire heir. In this season he proposed to Jen Schefft. Unfortunately, after a few months, they went separates roads.

Andrew married a beautiful actress Ivana Bozilovic in 2008. Their wedding ceremony was held in his family’s vineyard (so romantic!). They have three children. Jen had a role on the famous spin-off show, ‘The Bachelorette’, and now she is married to a successful businessman since 2009. She is a stay-at-home mom of two children.

The Bachelor, Season 4: Bob Guiney and Estella Gardinier

This season brought together fitness guru Estella Gardinier and the host of the popular interactive show on Game Show Network, Bob Guiney. Although they seemed happy, they break up soon after the final episode. After this fiasco, Bob married Rebecca Budig, from the sitcom ‘All My Children’, but it ended in 2010.

But, Bob married again in 2016, to Jessica Canyon. They welcome their first child in December 2018. Estella is a successful fitness guru based in San Diego. She is currently single but dating. Bob and Estella are still in touch.

The Bachelor, Season 5: Jesse Palmer and Jessica Bowlin

Former NFL quarterback chose Jessica Bowling but didn’t propose. Actually, they were dating for just a couple of months. After the break up his professional career skyrocketed. At the time he is a sports analyst for ESPN and ABC, and moreover single.

When she ended her relationship with Palmer, Jessica focused on becoming a lawyer. She did it in 2007 and moved to LA. She is also happily married and has two adorable children.

The Bachelor, Season 6: Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado

This season had a happy end. Almost. But, the couple stayed together for 5 years after the show ended. During those five years, they had a very rocky relationship. Delgado was arrested once and there were even physical fights between them.

Today, Velvick owns a beautiful resort in Del Rio, Texas. He also lives there with his wife and daughter, Kamber. Delgado owns her own business – The Mary Delgado Health and Fitness Channel on YouTube. In addition, she is also a successful real estate agent in Florida. She got married in 2015.

The Bachelor, Season 7: Charlie O’Connell and Sarah Brice

Younger brother to Jerry O’Connell and actor, Charlie O’Connell chose Sarah Brice but didn’t propose. After two years they broke up. Furthermore, they got back together and broke up for good back in 2010. The main reason for their separation was Charlie’s drinking problems.

Charlie went to the rehab and he is currently sober. Moreover, he married Playboy Playmate Anna Sophia Berglund. Sarah is married and has three boys. At the moment she is the Director of Clinical Marketing for ‘Cutera’.

The Bachelor, Season 8: Travis Lane Stork and Sarah Stone

The Oscar for the shortest relationship in ‘The Bachelor’ history goes to Travis and Sarah. Their record – ONE WEEK! But, one of them continued with a television appearance. Travis went on to host famous daytime talk-show ‘The Doctors’, for 11 seasons.

Travis married a fellow doctor in 2012. Unfortunately, three years later they divorced. Currently, he is engaged. Saras is a successful real estate agent and she co-host ‘Say It Southern’ podcast. She is married, and have three daughters.

The Bachelor, Season 9: Prince Lorenzo Borghese and Jennifer Wilson

Season 9 welcomes a royal member, Lorenzo Borghese. He picked Jennifer Wilson, the teacher. The two remained together for almost a year. Lorenzo accused Jennifer of cheating with a colleague from work. Afterward, he even dated the show’s runner-up, Sadie Murray. Not noble at all, Lorenzo!

Lorenzo continued appearing in various TV shows, while on a side he is the president of Animal Aid USA and founder of Prince Lorenzo’s Royal Treatment and South Beach Brewing Company. Jennifer became a wellness coach and she got married in 2016. Jennifer moved to Ohio with her husband and their children.

The Bachelor, Season 10: Andy Baldwin and Tessa Horst

Andy proposed Tessa at the end of season 10 and they remained together for eight months. Tessa left Andy while he was deployed to the Pacific. He continued his career as a navy physician and went to dating a famous ‘Dancing With The Stars’ pro dancer, Karina Smirnoff. He even dated Trump’s ex-wife, Marla Maples.

As for Tessa, she is living in San Francisco and works as a child development therapist. In addition, she works for ‘A Better Way’, a non-profit, as a clinical supervisor.

The Bachelor, Season 11: Brad Womack

Season 11 was a one-man season eventually. Brad Womack is a successful bar owner and overall successful entrepreneur. However, he had no luck on the show. He was the only guy ever NOT TO PICK either of the two runner-ups. But, that’s not all!

Brad came back to ‘The Bachelor’. Basically, he is also the man to ever star as ‘The Bachelor’ twice. Second time’s a charm. So, he ended up engaged to Emily Maynard. But, they split and Brad has been single and under the radar ever since.

The Bachelor, Season 12: Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas

Matt was the first bachelor to be outside of North America. He choose Shayne Lamas, daughter of famous American soap opera actor, Lorenzo Lamas. He even proposed, but they never married.

According to some stories, Lamas was more interested in fame than she was in Matt. Afterward, Matt dated Natalie Getz, and eventually married Rebecca Moring in 2017. As for Shayne, she married a gossip website owner, Nik Richie, in 2010. The couple has a daughter and a son.

The Bachelor, Season 13: Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft

Jason made this season unforgettable! He proposed to Melissa Rycroft, only to dump her on the ‘After the Final Rose’ special, for runner-up, Molly Malaney. Molly decided to give him a chance and the two got married.

On the other hand, Melissa appeared on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and ‘Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars’ season, and she won! In addition, she co-hosted the first season of the Bachelor Pad. She married her best friend Tye in 2009. They have three children, and currently, she co-hosts ‘Redneck Island’, a reality show on CMT (Country Music Television).

The Bachelor, Season 14: Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi

TV reality personality, Jake Pavelka, proposed the naughty girl, Vienna Girardi, at the end of the show. Although both are huge fame lovers, they lasted only for a few months. Therefore, they broke up in 2010. But, they have met in a number of different shows afterward.

Pavelka dated a number of women since he and Vienna split. As for Vienna, she dated Kasey, the ‘Bachelorette’ contestant, for a year. They broke up in 2014. Afterward, she opened up a boutique clothing store called Vixen, in Florida. Sadly, she went out of business one year later. Nowadays, she works as a recruiter for architecture and engineering companies. And yes, she recently had a nose job.

The Bachelor, Season 15: Brad Womack and Emily Maynard

Brad comes from season 11 where he didn’t pick anyone, to season 15 to search for his love. And he did find it. Brad proposed Emily Maynard. But, ever since they were on and off until they ended their relationship for good in 2011. Rumor has it that Emily was on the show just to secure her spot in ‘The Bachelorette’.

Brad stayed out of the public eye and focused on his bar business in Texas. He even dated Ashlee Frazier, one of the contestants on The Bachelor’s 17th season. But, they broke it off. Sorry, Brad, but TV is not your way of finding love. Maynard did become the star of ‘The Bachelorette’, where she got engaged with Jef Holm. Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t last.

The Bachelor, Season 16: Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson

Ben shocked everyone when he proposed to show villain, Courtney Robertson. Soon afterward they went separate ways, only to reunite on the ‘After the Rose’ live special. Ben actually stated that he choose her because he couldn’t believe that a model was into him. They had a nasty break up and the two separated for good back in 2012.

Ben went on dating after Courtney, but at the time he is single again. Courtney released a memoir in 2014 about her time as a villain on the reality TV show. The book went on to make The New York Times Bestseller List. She is also single.

The Bachelor, Season 17: Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici

They actually DID IT! Sean and Catherine became the first couple on ‘The Bachelor’ to make it all the way down to the aisle. Sean proposed Catherine in Thailand, and the couple had a big and fancy television wedding.

They got married in January 2014, and if the rumors are true they waited for their wedding night to engage in any physical relationship. They also appeared in numerous TV shows together, including ‘Dancing With the Stars’. They welcome their first baby boy in 2016.

The Bachelor, Season 18: Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell

Juan was the first Latino star on ‘The Bachelor’. He was loved until he made some offensive comments. Therefore, he become persona non-grata. In the season finale, he choose Nikki Ferell. However, he never proposed to her or said he loved her. Nikki and Juan had a rocky and long distance relationship that lead to their break up in 2014.

Juan enjoyed single life until he meet Venezuela beauty pageant winner, Osmariel Villalobos, in 2017. They have a daughter together. Nikki married Tyler Van Loo, a guy she was dating before she entered the show. Currently, she works as a pediatric nurse in Kansas City.

The Bachelor, Season 19: Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff

Whitney was so in love with Chris. From her point of view, this was probably the greatest love story ever. Long story short, he proposed, but their love lasted only for 6 months. Chris went back to farming life and being active on social media.

However, in 2017, Chris was arrested following a fatal car crash in his hometown. Apparently, he fled the scene. At the moment he is single and pledges guilty. Meanwhile, Whitney met her true love, Ricky, on the dating app Bumble. They got married in October 2017. She is still working as a fertility nurse in Chicago.

The Bachelor, Season 20: Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell

At the end of season 20, Ben proposed to Lauren Bushnell. But before he proposed, he declared his love for JoJo Fletcher, finalist. And he admitted that he chose Lauren because he liked her just a bit more. Freakin’ romantic, dude! So, Lauren moved to Denver with Higgins. In addition, they had their own reality show, “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?”.

It turned out they were not on a path of happily ever after and they broke up a few months before their wedding. At the moment, Higgins is single and supports the various business. Lauren dated a famous lifestyle blogger, then American country singer, and at the time she is single and living in California. But, she did recently started a company that makes rosé wine.
