Played by: Michelle Forbes
True Blood was a show with many bizarre stories and scenes, Moreover, it often left us speechless. If you can’t remember who was her character, just think about a bullheaded Maenad. Yup, that’s her.
9. Montgomery Burns
Voiced by: Harry Shearer
The wealthiest man in Springfield always had a new mission in mind to help him earn even more. Could he be the greatest villain of all time? Considering his wealth he could be. 8. Alfie Solomons
Played by: Tom Hardy
Peaky Blinders are back for a new season and it means that some of the favorite characters are back and ready to leave us speechless. 7. Hannibal Lecter
Played by: Mads Mikkelsen
Anthony Hopkins is without any doubt one of the best Hannibal’s ever and portraying that role after him is not an easy task. However, Mads is doing an amazing task, and Hopkins should be nothing but proud of him. He truly flesh out the role in a new and fresh way.
6. Arthur Mitchell
Played by: John Lithgow
The Trinity Killer or Arthur Mitchell was a key ingredient of why the fourth season of Dexter was so memorable. Some even claim that the fourth season of Dexter was the best one because Arthur was there to spice up everything.
He was such a loving and carrying man during the day, and so monstrous during the night, that it got Lithgow an Emmy-winning. And what about that clash between Arthur or Dexter? Still one of the most heartbreaking moments ever in TV history.
5. Al Swearengen
Played by: Ian McShane
Deadwood is definitely one of the best TV shows ever. What made this show so different, were great and authentic characters. One of the most memorable characters was impeccable Al. How many amazing lines this guy made awesome? Ian’s performance was so mesmerizing that people wanted to see him in each episode.
4. Joffrey Baratheon
Played by: Jack Gleeson
Seven kingdoms, millions of fans, and one guy that everyone loved to hate… That’s how easily you can sum up Game of Thrones. Joffrey showed everyone that if you are rich and powerful enough you can get away easily with literally anything. This young king was so hated that even the actor who portrayed him, Jack Gleeson, wanted a break from acting once his character was killed off.
3. Livia Soprano
Played by: Nancy Marchand
Nothing can beat a mother’s love. That feeling of love and comfort can only be given by the mother’s gentle hand unless your mother is Livia Soprano. In that case, you will witness pure nihilism. Sure, Livia tried to kill her son, Tony Soprano, but that wasn’t what made her so (un)loved.
What made her villain was the joyless ways in which she lived. We couldn’t witness how powerfull her character would actually be, because sadly Nancy Marchand passed away during the filming.
2. Benjamin Linus
Played by: Michael Emerson
Some are still confused about the TV show ‘Lost’ and how everything went down. However, no one is confused about the great performance of Michael Emerson. Michael gave its character soft-spoken intensity and a peacefull movement that made everyone waiting for the next step.
Nothing was strange to this character – torture, kidnapping, mass murder, and even the sacrifice of his daughter – he would do anything to protect the island. So, his nerd-bully attitude created an awkward charisma. By the end of the show, he even got a shot at redemption. Many believe that he didn’t deserve that much.
1. Cersei Lannister
Played by: Lena Headey
This lady shocked so many times during the show. Moreover, every time she would appear on a screen we knew that something bad is about to happen. But she is that perfect villain. Just seeing her in the scene, just standing, got people’s nerves jumping.
