Donatella Versace

Donatella Versace was born on May 2, 1955, in Reggio Calabria, Italy.

Not only is she a designer but has marked her spot in history as one of the best-known names in fashion.

The fashion gene runs in the family as both she and her late brother Gianni Versace got it from their mother who had a dressmaking business.

Versace, the designer label was founded by her brother, Gianni Versace, and upon his death in 1997, Donatella inherited 20% of the company and became its chief executive officer.

Versace the designer clothes are adorned in all parts of the world. In 1986, Versace married former model Paul Beck and together, the couple had two children, Allegra and Daniel, before divorcing.

 

Robert De Niro

Robert Anthony De Niro Jr is one of the greatest actors of all time. He is an American actor, producer, and director born on August 17, 1943, in Manhattan, New York City. He was born to artists Virginia and Robert De Niro Sr. 

His paternal grandfather was of Italian descent, and his other ancestry is Irish, English, Dutch, German, and French.

He has received numerous accolades for his work,  including two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, just to name a few. He has starred in such films as ‘Taxi Driver,’ ‘The Godfather: Part II,’ ‘Raging Bull,’ ‘Awakenings’ and ‘The Intern.’

 

Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani is an Italian fashion designer famously known for his power suits. During the 1980s, wearing Armani became a symbol of success for many business professionals.

This is after his power suits took recognition for dressing most of the cast in Miami Vice as well as dressing Richard Gere from American Gigolo.

He formed his company, Armani, in 1975, which eventually diversified into music, sport and luxury hotels. He expanded his empire to include restaurants and hotels. 

Hotels have become Armani’s latest venture. In 2010 he opened his first hotel in Dubai, and another one is expected to open in Milan.

 

Dylan and Cole Sprouse

Dylan and Cole Sprouse are famous actors who were born in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy to American parents, Melanie (Wright) and Matthew Sprouse. They were born on August 4, 1992, and raised in Long Beach, in their native California.

The identical twins started their acting career at the tender age of six months.

They are famously known for their roles in Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spin-off, The Suite Life on Deck.

Dylan Thomas Sprouse is also the co-founder of a New York meadery called All-Wise Meadery. In their adult life, the twins have taken up separate acting roles from each other. 

In 2016, Cole jumped back into the acting world head-first when he accepted a role in the CW Network’s hit series, Riverdale, where he plays the iconic character, Jughead Jones.

When Dylan was asked he thinks that he and his brother would ever shoot any more TV shows or movies together, Dylan had told Teen Vogue: “It would have to be a really, really, really cool project.

It’s easy to stereotype twins into any role.

There’s not a lot great twin roles are written and often times when there are, they’re given to a single actor who greens screens themselves into both places.”

 

Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli is not a new name for soccer fans around the globe.

The professional footballer was born on 12th August 1990 in Italy to Ghanaian parents.

He plays as a striker for Serie A club Brescia and the Italy national team. Mario has retained his shirt number forty-five in all the football clubs he has played for including Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, and Brescia.
