Christian Bale Diet: A Strange Diet For His Role In Vice
Acting is one of the hardest professions there is. They are not only pressured to play a convincing part but are expected by many to have the same life experiences. They should share more in common with the character.
If the person knew martial arts, the actor should too. If the person was able to sing, then the actor should too.
What many actors find just as hard is matching the physical appearance of the character they are supposed to be playing. In some instances, the only way to accurately portray someone’s physical appearance is through heavy make-up and prosthetics.
There aren’t a whole lot of actors who like to fluctuate when it comes to their weight and that is okay for some. Others are so serious about their craft, that they are willing to mess with their own bodies, like Christian Bale, to make the role just a little more believable.
The veteran actor has made a lot of weight changes for a variety of movies he’s been in. For American Psycho and the Dark Knight franchise, Bale had to bulk up. His role in American Hustle called for someone with a bit of a gut, so the actor made sure he ‘fit.’
Christian Bale’s Vice Diet
Famous for his odd diets regarding movie roles, the former Batman actor has been preparing for his next role with a special diet. “I’ve just been eating a lot of pies,” he said about what he’s been doing to gain weight for his role as former Vice President Dick Cheney in the upcoming film Backseat.
Anyone who has seen the pictures or videos recently can see that Christian Bale has indeed been eating a lot of pies. Let’s hope the man doesn’t develop some sort of health issues due to his overindulgence of baked goods.
What kind of pies he’s been eating, we may never know.
