Dumbo Movie Quotes You Don’t Want To Miss
Burton shook the Hollywood once again, with its the latest, 2-hours long, Dumbo adaptation. After ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children,” Burton went on with developing and showing the classic tale of a circus elephant, named Dumbo.
World premiere happened in Los Angeles, on March 11 and so far critics and film journalists are calling ‘Dumbo’ Burton’s best live-action work in years.
Some even call it better than ‘Beauty and the Beast’ or ‘Merry Poppins Returns’. Considering Tim’s talent as director and eye for fantastic art, you can expect great production design.
We are all familiar with its original tale: the baby elephant is brought to its mama, the baby is named Dumbo thanks to its big ears, big separation with mom happens, Dumbo makes a new best-mouse-friend, accepts his uniqueness, this shy elephant becomes famous, and gives his mama and his buddy a better life.
However, the plot is slightly different in this version. Therefore, be prepared for some shocking moments. Make no mistake, it’s still the story of a giant-eared elephant that wants to be reunited with his mom.
This 2019 version of ‘Dumbo’ follows circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito), who hires former circus star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) for a simple task, of caring for a newborn elephant.
However, this elephant is anything but ordinary. Elephant’s giant-ears make him a laughingstock in a circus that barely survives. This family has a privilege of discovering that Dumbo can actually fly, and this big-eared-flying-elephant puts a circus on the map once again.
This incredible circus comeback comes with a V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), an entrepreneur on a mission to create Dreamland – larger-than-life entertainment venture. Dreamland needs peculiar beings, animals and humans, and he needs Dumbo next to his spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green).
However, Dreamland loses its shiny armor, once Holt learns about its dark secrets.
‘Dumbo’ is technically a full feast, with a slight lack of strong emotions that we are used to from this adorable character. However, you will be satisfied with the visuals in the first place, and new characters. There is a lot more in this ‘Dumbo’ version that ads to the story, especially through new human characters. You will love some memorable moments. Here are some of them.
