1. If You Want To Cool Down, Drink Something Hot

Although we’re all used to drinking ice cold beverages when it’s hot outside to cool ourselves down, science proves us that we’re doing it the wrong way. Researches show that drinking a hot beverage on a hot day may actually help your body stay cooler. How is that possible? Well, when you drink something hot, your body makes you sweat in order to regulate your body temperature.

In the first few minutes you might feel the heat going up, but as you sweat, you will notice that you’re slowly cooling down. If you think about it, it’s not something shocking, since sweat has the function of regulating our temperature. So, next time you aim for that ice-cold drink, think about it twice!

2. Avoid Cholesterol-Free Foods If You Have High Cholesterol

If you’re struggling with high levels of cholesterol, pay attention to foods that are labeled as “cholesterol-free”. The fact that they don’t have any cholesterol won’t be helpful for your diet regimen. In fact, foods have trans fats that don’t contain cholesterol, but work to increase your cholesterol levels. These fats are usually found in fried foods and baked goods.

3. When Tired, Exercise!

Although it sounds counterintuitive, exercising when tired will actually pump you with energy much more than if you just remain on the couch. Studies have shown that when we exercise, our blood and oxygen flow through the body increases our energy levels and improves our mood!

So, if you exercise when feeling slow and tired, you might end up feeling super fresh and much happier.

4. Cold Temperatures Are Better For Your Health

Most of us dream of living in a small house on a beach and relaxing in the shade of a big palm tree. But what we all forget is that these exotic places with hot weather can actually be quite risky for our health. If you think about it, the number of diseases coming from the excessive heat is way bigger than the number of diseases developing in cold temperatures.

Not only will you be safe from diseases such as Zika, West Nile Virus or Malaria, but cold temperatures actually reduce allergies and inflammation. Researches have also found that we think more clearly during cold seasons.
