Powerful Homemade Remedies For Wrinkles Under Eyes

Have you worked ridiculous hours for longer than you can remember? Those of us who are 25 years and older may already have under-eye wrinkles caused by hard work and very late nights. A great majority of people feel that such a trait takes away from their looks.

Good news for those who feel the need to spend hundreds at a spa. Here are a couple of things that can help with those wrinkles, and don’t cost a whole lot:

1. Pineapple

You have probably already heard about the health benefits pineapple juice may have. But did you know you can add it to your beauty regimen? Bromelain, the most powerful enzyme contained in pineapple juice can reduce inflammation.

In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties, the alpha hydroxyl acid in the juice is proven to reduce wrinkles. After a quarter of an hour, lightly wash off with soap.

2. Castor Oil

The reason your under-eyes may be gaining wrinkles is a lack of moisture to that area of the face. Castor oil is rich in moisturizing properties and can do a great job of helping deal with wrinkles under the eyes. In addition to dealing with those pesky wrinkles, you’ll be getting nice and soft skin in the area to which it’s applied.

Castor oil is great because it’s thick and does not require a whole lot at a time. Use this if you want to have prolonged treatments for wrinkles and moisturizer.

3. Rosemary

Rosemary is a wonderful ingredient to add an herb-based flavor to your food. But did you know it could help reduce wrinkles also? Using rosemary essential oil will both moisturize your skin and rid you of those fines lines that distract you in the mirror.

Apply a little oil in a ‘boat-shape’ pattern to the under-eye area.

4. Cucumber

You have no doubt seen the stereotype spa scenes in your favorite tv shows. The people lying back usually have cucumber slices over their eyes. There’s actually a reason for that. Cucumbers are well-known for their ability to both moisturize the skin and reduce the dark circles that may form.

If you are looking to make your own “beauty-only” slices, refrigerate after cutting. Then put them on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Do this once a day and the health of the skin around your eyes will greatly improve.

5. Ginger and Honey

This might be for the more dedicated to try out. Honey is classified as a “humectant,” or moisture magnet. Combine a small amount of your favorite honey with some ginger extract and you have a homemade wrinkle-reducing remedy.

Gently rub a nominal helping of the mixture and leave on your skin for no more than ten minutes. With improved blood flow thanks to this mix, you could be seeing better results in wrinkle reduction.

6. Coconut Oil

This is very popular among professional and DIY hairdressers for its ability to protect hair during a bleaching process. Great news for the more well-rounded beauticians: you can use it to reverse and even prevent new wrinkles from forming.

If you’re going to be massaging this oil under your eyes, go with virgin coconut oil. You’ll have the purest form you can. This oil you can leave overnight and wash away during your morning restroom routine.

7. Olive Oil

You probably already use it to sear your steak or season your garlic bread. Just like coconut oil, you can use olive oil as a powerful skin moisturizer. Just like the coconut oil, massage gently under the eyes. It’s also a “moisture magnet” that worked best when lukewarm.

This too can be left on overnight and washed off your face in the morning.

8. Avocados

Avocados are an excellent way to add healthy fat to your diet. But that healthy fat can also improve how your skin feels. Those avocado masks aren’t just for show because that healthy fat can return moisture to your skin, meaning it’ll have a substantial effect on reducing wrinkles.

But to reduce those under-eye problems specifically, you want to cut an avocado into a few slices and place two on your eye area for about a quarter of an hour. See the wrinkles and dark circles disappear within a few days.

9. Rose Water

This is another great treatment for under the eyes. Apply a small bit of rose water under the eye with a cotton ball and allow it to dry on its own. This one is the only one on the list you’ll want to do twice a day.

This is another one known to prevent further wrinkles.

Make sure to thoroughly research what your allergies may be and whether or not you can apply certain list items topically.
